Vikings take 3A-12 volleyball title
Senior Katie Mosher and junior Sarah Toggweiler led Bishop Verot to a straight-set victory Thursday night over LaBelle in the District 3A-12 volleyball tournament that claimed the 12th straight district championship for the Vikings.
The 25-5, 25-20, 25-22 triumph also extended the Vikings’ unblemished record to 25-0 this season.
Mosher led with nine service aces and 15 digs. Toggweiler smashed 14 kills and senior Ciara Brown handed out 25 assists.
The Vikings will host a regional quarterfinal match at 7 p.m. Tuesday against the loser of the match between DeSoto and Cardinal Mooney.
