Undefeated Bishop Verot took another step toward winning its 12th straight district volleyball championship with a straight-set victory Tuesday night.

The threesome of Mandy Washburn, Katie Mosher and Ciara Brown led the Vikings to a 25-7, 25-4, 25-7 decision over Island Coast in the semifinals of the District 3A-12 Tournament at LaBelle.

Mosher served up 10 aces to go along with a team-high six digs, Washburn led in kills with eight and Brown handed out 27 assists.

It extends the Vikings’ streak of not losing a single set to a district opponent this season. The Vikings (24-0), who entered the postseason having won 46 consecutive regular-season matches, will play for the 3A-12 championship Thursday night against No. 2 seed LaBelle (13-9).
