9 players added to Blades camp
The Albany River Rats assigned five players to the Florida Everblades for the 2009-10 season.
Goaltender Mike Morrison, defenseman Elgin Reid, and forwards Milan Gajic, Rob Hennigar and Jacob Micflikier joined the roster from the River Rats Wednesday.
Morrison most notably appeared in 21 games with the Edmonton Oilers of the NHL during the 2005-06 season.
The Everblades also invited forward Richard Rochefort, defensemen Anthony Aiello and Frank Grzeszczak, and goaltender Nate Zervos to training camp that starts Friday.
The Everblades begin their 12th season on the road on Oct. 16 at the brand new arena in Toledo (Ohio) against the Walleye. The Blades’ home debut is Oct. 23 against the Charlotte Checkers.
