Cape Coral High senior H Halverson set the scoring pace Tuesday in a golf tri-match at Royal Tee Golf Club, but the Mariner Tritons bested the rival Seahawks by 12 strokes.

The Tritons finished at 103, Cape carded 115 and three Island Coast players competed, but did not compile a team score.

Halverson fired an even-par 24 through six holes before the action was halted due to inclement weather.

C.J. Cricco and Braden Junkins each shot 25 for the Tritons. Johnny Foronda paced Island Coast with 43.

The Seahawks (4-4) visit Lehigh Wednesday.

At Eastwood: Previously unbeaten Ida Baker finished 10 strokes back of both Fort Myers and Barron Collier. The Bulldogs carded a score of 165.

Michael Faulkner, Dylan Fine and Cody Byers all shot 41, while Miko Dougherty followed with a 42.

Baker (10-2) plays South Fort Myers Thursday at Plantation.

Girls Golf

At Magnolia Landing: Brittany Agricola led the host Red Knights with a 7-over-par 30 through six holes before their match with Cypress Lake was called due to rain and lightning.

The Red Knights finished with a team score of 154. The Panthers competed with two players and did not have a team score

Allie Kennedy carded 37 for the Red Knights (2-3). They play Tuesday against Fort Myers and Gulf Coast at Magnolia Landing.

North Fort Myers 154 – Brittany Agricola 30, Allie Kennedy 37, Mariah Koch 41, Ashley Beckos 46

Volleyball

Fort Myers 3, Mariner 0: Mariner senior Debra Swain registered four kills and two service aces, but the visiting Tritons were unable to make a run at district favorite Fort Myers. The Green Wave won all three games 25-6, 25-11, 25-8.

The Tritons (3-5) host North Fort Myers Wednesday.

Riverdale 3, Ida Baker 0: The visiting Bulldogs picked up their play after a rough opening set, but Riverdale still prevailed 25-12, 25-23, 25-19.

The Bulldogs (6-2) were sparked by Chelsea Shafer (12 kills), Taryn Maymom (three kills, three block), Taylor Van Horn (three kills) and Payton Van Horn (three blocks).

Baker hosts Mariner Tuesday.

Lemon Bay 3, North Fort Myers 2: North’s performance early on showed the Knights are making progress. Their inability to close out the match, showed they still have work to do.

The host Knights held a two-set advantage and took a 13-9 lead in game three, before Lemon Bay rallied for a five-set victory, 20-25, 21-25, 25-19, 25-14, 15-13.

The Knights were led by Jessica Wagner (14 kills), Miranda Ashby (nine kills), Susie McKeever (30 assists) and Lindsey Tryon (17 digs).

Cypress Lake 3, Cape Coral 0: Freshman Kristi Maselter had a strong game as setter and junior Erica Hoegler tallied three kills for the Seahawks (0-8) in a loss at Cypress Lake, 25-11, 25-8, 25-12.

The Seahawks’ JV team picked up their fifth win of the season, 25-17, 25-14.

Cape hosts North Tuesday.

Swimming

At North Fort Myers: Chris Conrad, Ryan Williams and Allie Goldsmith were among the multiple winners for Ida Baker, as the Bulldogs posted victories over Mariner in a dual meet held at North Fort Myers.

Conrad, a senior, took first in the 50 freestyle and 100 breastroke. Williams, a senior, placed first in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke.

On the girls’ side, Goldsmith swam to victories in the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley.

The Bulldogs host their next meet at North Tuesday against South Fort Myers.
