Ex-Mariner star Dupay sentenced to 30 days in jail
Former Mariner High and University of Florida basketball star Teddy Dupay has been sentenced to 30 days in jail after pleading guilty to charges of attacking a woman at a Utah ski lodge.
A Utah judge sentenced 30-year-old Dupay Monday. He pleaded guilty in June to aggravated assault and two misdemeanors. Dupay had faced charges of rape, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault but agreed to a plea bargain before his trial.
A woman Dupay had been dating told authorities that he attacked her at the Stein Eriksen Lodge near Salt Lake City in June 2008.
Dupay, who lives in Salt Lake City, is Florida’s all-time high school scoring leader. He started for UF when the school lost to Michigan State in the 2000 NCAA championship game.
