The visiting Charlotte Stone Crabs picked up a 5-3 victory Thursday in the final regular season meeting between the Stone Crabs and Fort Myers Miracle at Hammond Stadium.

The series shifts to Charlotte Sports Park for the final three games of the series between the rivals and top two teams in the FSL South Division Standings.

The Miracle’s late rally fell short Thursday. They loaded the bases in the ninth with one out but could only manage one run against Richard de Los Santos, who recorded his eighth save.

Santos Arias (6-2) turned in a quality start, going eight innings with seven hits and three runs. Alex Cobb (8-5) recorded the victory for the Stone Crabs.

The Miracle (30-24 in the second half) finished with a 7-3 record at home against the Stone Crabs (29-25) this season. The Miracle lead the Stone Crabs by one game in the second-half division race.
