Blades change radio dials

2 min read

Looking for more consistency from their radio broadcast partner, the Florida Everblades are moving up the AM radio dial to Fox Sports Radio 1200 & 1460 for the coming season.

“We knew heading into the offseason that we had run into too many conflicts with our broadcasts at ESPN Radio (770 AM),” said Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush. “They were a great partner for 11 seasons, but we had to make a decision to move the games so our fans could follow their team on a more consistent basis.”

Fox Sports will carry a minimum of 60 games in their entirety with a potential to broadcast the full 72 games based on game times of the station’s other scheduling commitments.

In addition, the one-hour “Everblades Weekly” show will air during the season on both 1200/1460 AM. Fox also is committed to carrying all Everblades playoff games live.

“All of us at Fox Sports Radio 1200/1460 are excited to have Southwest Florida’s premiere sports franchise the Florida Everblades joining our team,” said Fox Sports Radio director of programming Chad Rufer. “We’ve already secured the biggest names in sports with Jim Rome, Dan Patrick, Clayton Ferraro from WINK TV Sports, ‘Noles football, the Tampa Bay Bucs, and now with the addition of the Blades we’re very excited for the future of Fox Sports Radio 1200/1460.”
