Miracle sweep Sarasota

After picking up a win Saturday night, the Fort Myers Miracle continued their winning ways Sunday by sweeping a doubleheader against the host Sarasota Reds. The Miracle posted wins by scores of 6-3 and 4-3.

Steve Hirschfeld (6-5) notched the win in game one. He worked 6 1/3 innings and allowed three hits. He gave up six hits, two walks, and struck out five. Blair Erickson picked up his 11th save. Evan Bigley went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In game two, the Miracle rallied to tie the game in the top of the seventh, and they scored one in the eighth to win it. Chris Parmelee launched his leage-leading 15th home run in the victory.

Henry Arias worked four scoreless innings in relief.

The Miracle begin a three-game series at Palm Beach Monday.
