Blades host Gladiators in preseason
The Florida Everblades will host the Gwinnett Gladiators for a pair of preseason hockey matches leading up to the start of the 2009-10 ECHL season opener, the team announced Thursday.
The South Division rivals face off at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 9 and 10 at Germain Arena.
The Everblades and Gladiators met in the best-of-seven division semifinal playoffs last season in which the Everblades prevailed 4-1.
Season ticketholders will enjoy both preseason games free with their season ticket packages. All other preseason tickets may be purchased at the Germain Arena box office, by visiting www.ticketmaster.com, or by calling the Everblades office (239) 948-7825. Individual game ticket prices range from $12 to $34.
The Everblades begin the regular season on the road with three games at Toledo on Oct. 16, 17 and 18. Their home ice debut in Oct. 23-24 against the Charlotte Checkers.
