Four students from Kodokan Judo of Cape Coral competed in the Junior U.S. Open Judo Championships Aug. 1-2 in Fort Lauderdale. There were 24 countries represented. Erica Paccione (left), 8, went undefeated and captured gold, while sister Christina Paccione (right), 7, won a silver medal. Garrett White, 9, and Justin Bonsall, 9, were among the four participants from Cape Coral. The four junior participants competed under the direction of Sensei John Paccione. Kodokan Judo is located at 905 SE 9th Terrace in Cape Coral.
