Cape National partners with Pollo Tropical

Faced with the current economic challenges, and the possibility of a “pay to play” organized sports city fee, Cape Coral National Little League and Pollo Tropical restaurant are taking a proactive approach to ensure the players will be able to participate in baseball.

Through a community partnership with the restaurant on Pine Island Road, CCN is holding a fundraiser on Aug. 12, 4-9 p.m. Customers bringing in a CCN flyer earns 15 percent of their sales donated to the league.

“We are so happy to be in partnership with such a community minded company. Pollo Tropical has stepped up to the plate and has hit a grand slam for our kids, families and league,” said Cape Coral National League President Dan Freed.

Pollo Tropical has created a weekly “Wing Up” campaign to benefit nonprofit organizations. The Pollo Tropical restaurant hosting the benefit night donates 15 percent of sales that night to the partner organization. CCN kicks things off Aug. 12 at the Cape Coral location.
