The Minnesota Twins chose Fort Myers Miracle right-handed pitcher David Bromberg Tuesday as the organization’s Minor League Player of the Week ending July 31.

Bromberg was 2-0 with a 0.73 ERA in two starts, striking out 12 over 12 2/3 innings. The 21-year-old is 10-1 with a 2.63 ERA this season for the Miracle. His next start is Friday when the Miracle host the Charlotte Stone Crabs at Hammond Stadium.

Bromberg was a 32nd round pick by the Twins in the 2005 MLB Draft. He led the organization in strikeouts with 177 at Single-A Beloit in 2008.

The Miracle edged the Stone Crabs 4-3 in 11 innings Tuesday night at Hammond Stadium.
