Cody Luezinger of the Cape Coral American South Little League All-Star Team gets congratulated by teammates after connecting on a home run in the second inning of Thursday’s game against Hancock at Koza-Saladino Park. It was the last of five pool play rounds in the District 9 Tournament. In Pool 1, Hancock topped Cape South 6-4 and Fort Myers American defeated Cape North 3-1. Cape National (4-1) clinched a spot in the championship series double-elimination bracket with a 13-0 win over Port Charlotte National.
