Miracle post 40th win 5-3
DUNEDIN – After hitting 11 homers in nine games, but only 4-5 and being outscored besides, the Fort Myers Miracle were homerless Tuesday in a 5-3 win over the Dunedin Blue Jays.
After giving up two runs in the ninth inning for a deflating loss Monday, Tyler Robertson cruised through six innings and the offense gave him enough support to claim a victory. Robertson (4-3) allowed just one run on four hits in six innings, walking two and striking out five.
The magic number to win the South Division first half stands at two. The Miracle (40-24) resume the series with the Jays at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
