Senior stars take the diamond one last time
The high school baseball regular and postseasons have concluded, but top seniors will take the field, again, Wednesday at Terry Park for the 2009 Bartley’s Senior All-Star Baseball Game.
The contest begins at 6 p.m. at Terry Park’s main stadium.
The North squad consists of players from three Cape schools, plus North Fort Myers, Bishop Verot, Fort Myers, LaBelle, Lehigh, Cypress Lake, Canterbury and Evangelical Christian.
District 5A-15 champion Mariner sends six players – Angel Laborde, Anthony Santo, Bryan O’Connor, Michael Zunino, Ryan Patton and Ryan Schneider.
Others participating include Dustin Mishka and Miles Rubinski (Baker), Nick Gillogly (Cape Coral), Ivan Melendez and Mike Becker (North Fort Myers), and Bobby Borchering, Kevin Reynolds and Chris Santospirito (Bishop Verot).
The South squad features players from Class 4A state champion Naples.
