Miracle clip Mets 3-1
The Miracle have now won three straight series against the St. Lucie Mets thanks to Friday’s 3-1 come-from-behind victory at Hammond Stadium.
The Miracle (26-14) broke through for three runs in the seventh inning against reliever Brant Rustich. With one out, Jair Fernandez walked, followed by a Chris Cates single. Ben Revere grounded to short, but second baseman Matt Bouchard’s throw entered the dugout and Fernandez scored to tie the game at 1-1.
Steve Singleton then doubled to right-center field, scoring Revere, and giving the Miracle the lead. Danny Berg chipped in with an RBI single for an insurance run.
