Blades set jersey auction
Surely the Florida Everblades would rather still be playing hockey in the ECHL’s Kelly Cup playoffs, but with the end of playing comes the team’s annual jersey auction.
The Everblades announced Friday that the auction will take place Wednesday at Breakaway’s Sports Pub inside Germain Arena. The auction is open to all fans interested in bidding on the blue jerseys worn by the players during the playoffs.
Fans will be allowed into Breakaway’s starting at 5:30 p.m. The Everblades ask that any fans interested in bidding on the jerseys arrive no later than 6 p.m. to register. The auction is expected to start shortly after 6:30.
Fans who attend the jersey auction will be treated to a menu that includes pizza, burgers, salads and sandwiches, plus happy hour prices on all drinks at the bar.
Everblades head coach Malcolm Cameron, plus several of the players, will be on hand during event.
Deposits are being accepted now for 2009-10 season tickets. For just $50 per seat fans can reserve a piece of the action for next season.
