Cape Coral Swim Florida member Kaitlyn Hauser, 10, is among the top-ranked swimmers in the United States in her age group.

Her training at the Cape Coral High School pool and performance in junior competitions led to her selection to Florida Swimming’s All-Star team.

Hauser swims Saturday and Sunday for Florida Swimming in a dual meet against Florida Gold Coast at Fort Pierce.

Hauser is ranked 20th in the nation in the 500-yard freestyle and third in the 1,000-yard freestyle by United States Swimming. At this weekend’s meet, she’ll compete in the 50-, 100- and 200-yard freestyles, 100 and 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke.

The All-Star team was selected at the recent Florida Swimming Junior Olympic Championships at the University of Florida.
