Ace Group pre-qualifier Feb. 13
Individuals interested in a chance to qualify to play in next month’s Ace Group Classic must register and successfully compete in an 18-hole pre-qualifier in order to advance to the Open Qualifier.
The pre-qualifying tournament is Feb. 13 at Plantation Golf & Country Club in Fort Myers. The 144-man field is open to all amateurs and professionals age 50 an over, or who turn 50 by the date of the Open Qualifier.
The low five scorers from the pre-qualifier gain entry to the Open Qualifier at Plantation on Feb. 16. A maximum of four low scorers from that event earn a berth in the Ace Group Classic to be played the week of Feb. 16-22 at TPC Treviso Bay in Naples.
The entry fee for the pre-qualifier is $220 with no additional fee for advancing to the Open Qualifier. The deadline to enter is 5 p.m. Feb. 9.
