Prep report: Host Tritons win opener in tourney
Kameron Beach led with 22 points and Ricardo Barsesa tallied 18 points, leading the host Mariner Tritons to a 79-51 victory over Riverdale Saturday on the opening day of the Mariner Christmas Basketball Tournament.
The action continues Monday with four games. Mariner plays Immokalee at 7:30 p.m.
Boys soccer
Mariner fell 1-0 (4-3 in penalty kicks) Saturday against Cocoa in the first game at the Adidas Palm Beach Invitational. Senior goalkeeper Renato Proia tallied four saves. The Tritons resume tournament play Monday.
