Firecats to help deliver toys at Children’s Hospital
The Florida Firecats are teaming up with the Mike from Minny & Friends Children’s Foundation and Pinchers’ Crab Shack to help make Christmas a bit brighter for some area children.
Firecats coach Kevin Bouis and quarterback Chris Wallace are joining Santa Claus as he delivers toys Thursday to kids spending the holidays at Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. The children range in ages from infants to teenagers.
“This is an excellent opportunity for us and all of our fans, to get involved and bring joy and happiness to a child during the holiday season,” said Firecats Presi-dent/GM Chris Vallozzi. “The Mike from Minny & Friends Children’s Foun-dation does amazing work each year and we’re just thrilled to be a part of it.”
The Firecats have participated in the toy drive since 2001.
Gifts were collected on Saturday during the Mike from Minny & Friends Children’s Foundation’s 7th annual Christmas Party and Toy Drive at Pinchers’ Crab Shack, 15271 McGregor Blvd. Guests brought gifts to be wrapped by the Mom’s Club of Fort Myers South.
