After opening the season with two lopsided victories, the Ida Baker boys basketball team fell to Gulfport Boca Ciega 74-70 Saturday in the Baker Turkey Shootout Championship Game.

Senior John Skinner scored 31 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs (2-1). Senior Zach Campbell (10 points, 10 rebounds) also finished with a double-double, while senior guard Xavier Battle dished out eight assists.

Girls Basketball

n Bishop Verot 50, Cape Coral 42: Cape High (4-2) dropped its second consecutive game Saturday at the Community School of Naples Thanksgiving Shootout, falling to Bishop Verot (4-2).

Senior point guard Jardin McCarthy scored 18 points to lead the Seahawks. Taylor Kramer had 14 to pace the Vikings.
