The Gulf Middle School girls completed an undefeated season last week with a nailbiting 50-48 victory over Cypress Lake Middle in the championship game of the Lee County Division I Tournament. The Dolphins relied on a solid defense to match the school’s boys’ team as undefeated county champs. Team members include: Angel Del Rio, Mariah Ortiz, Celia Rostran, McKenna Beach, Kachina Clemens, Monica Bono, Sam Murphy, Shyann Del Negro, Eman Mousa, Brittany Webb-Martin, Jessey Placher, Courtney Perks, Hannah Del Negro, Lauren Holzer,E rica Stewart, Morgan Murphy, coach Russ DeVerteuil and son Dakota DeVerteuil.
