Red Knights dump Vikings 4-1

Alyssa Dougherty delivered the game-winning hit in the clutch to spark North Fort Myers to a 4-1 victory over Bishop Verot Monday night at Fleishman Park.
Dougherty laced a single to drive in two runs in the Red Knights’ three-run sixth-inning rally that assured the victory. Casey McIntosh and Kayla Ramey contributed a pair of hits apiece.
Jackie Owen (13-4) pitched a complete-game three-hitter with eight strikeouts to earn the win on the mound.
Monica Gargano and Paris Prusak had doubles for the Vikings (13-9).
The Red Knights (16-5) play Estero in an LCAC crossover game Tuesday.
Other crossover games on the slate include: Fort Myers at Riverdale; Baker at South Fort Myers; Mariner at East Lee County; Cape Coral at Lehigh and Cypress Lake at Dunbar.

Bishop Verot 10, King’s Academy 2: Kevin Reynolds and Ryan York collected two hits apiece to lead Bishop Verot to victory over West Palm Beach King’s Academy in the first round of the Bud Roth Memorial Tournament at Terry Park.
Pool play continues Tuesday with Verot taking on Greenacres Leonard.
