The senor took top honors at the 63rd Edison Relays in Fort Myers in the high jump, clearing the bar at 6-feet 4-inches.

“My aim for this year is to hit 7-feet. I had a great start to the season nearly hitting 6-feet-8-inches. I’m really close to my goal and hopefully by the end of the season I can attain it and go to states and win.

North Fort Myers Red Knights

The senior got it done both at the plate and in the circle last week for the Red Knights, going 4-for-9 with a home run and 3 RBI over three North wins. She also went 3-0 as a pitcher, tossing 18 total innings allowing 2 earned runs and striking out 24.

“My goal this year was to come out strong with confidence and to have fun because it is my senior year. I’m focusing on mechanics to gain more speed and working ahead in counts while pitching and being patient while at the plate. As the season progresses, I hope to keep the momentum going by playing with high energy and executing the little things.”
