6 min read

The holidays are almost over and a New Year ahead, and even though we appear to face a depressing future, many of us are thankful for family and friends. However, many of us are worried about our shrinking retirement finances, and how to hang on to our homes and jobs.We try to consolidate our errands to save gas, think twice about going out to eat unless we have a two for one coupon, theater tickets are out of sight, and even a trip to the movies and popcorn aren’t a weekly event any more. I broke down and bought a DVD player, on sale and very reasonable, hardly more than a family trip for a movie and popcorn.

A trip to the Cape Coral Library will astonish you with the hundreds o f DVD movies, public television specials, documentaries, music, old favorite television series, as well as access to millions of books and print materials. These provide so many happy family evenings or weekend afternoons, for just the cost of microwave popcorn, and the DVDs are all free. If you can’t find that certain movie n Cape Coral, as the reference desk to try to locate it at one of the other branches. There is daily courier service between the libraries and the staff is always happy to help out. Check the adult, teen and children’s programs, something for everyone.
