No Kings protesters need to get over election loss

To the editor:

The “No Kings” march represents nothing but defeat, a reality that many find hard to accept. People are just protesting the fact that, in a functioning democracy, the other side can win sometimes.

It is rather amusing that the individuals that are backing many of the protests are billionaires financially supporting these organizations and some of the individuals. The march is spearheaded by those who suffered defeat in the previous election and who yearn for a ruler and society that suppresses free speech, imprisons Christians, and instills Marxist ideologies in today’s society.

How quickly we forget!

Where were the protests to the policies of the Biden administration during the COVID pandemic, why were they silent? When individuals faced termination for refusing vaccinations, were required to present documentation for travel, and had hotlines established to report gatherings exceeding five individuals in a single household for a party? We were instructed to maintain a distance of six feet (still they don’t know why), places of worship and educational institutions were closed, masks were mandated even during outdoor dining situations and playing. The only protest that was permitted was one aimed at defunding the police.

Years later we find out there was no reason for most of the mandates and the virus did start in China. There will be no counter-protest against NO Kings because the majority of Americans understand that we have not had a king in 250 years.
