Not a full-time resident? Please don’t come to Southwest Florida now
To the editor:
It is hard to understand how the snowbirds can rationalize coming into a declared disaster zone and competing with the survivors of the disaster for the necessities of life.
The snowbirds are here now, in the aftermath of a terrible disaster, filling up the streets, and every other thing the survivors need to keep going. There are no rooms to rent for a hundred miles of here for people who have lost everything.
What kind of person does this?
GO HOME for the sake of the survivors. Please, I mean it. What the snowbirds are doing is disgusting.
