Gasping for positivity
To the editor:
There are going to be some people who usually write into this newspaper who will be clutching their pearls, gasping for breath and screaming that I am somehow a racist or a fool simply because I am Republican. Well, have your box of tissues ready, because you will not be liking what I say.
First, a few comments about the lack of positivity, kindness, common courtesy, common sense and the lack of leadership coming from within our own country, which is pure abuse. This abuse causes, or should cause, people to want to have this daily abuse stopped. You cannot continue to denigrate people and expect them to follow you without remaining a true patriot.
Every day, there is another lie and another celebration of the lies, cheating, denigrating and the pure hatefulness of, yes, I will say it, the Democrat Party. Let me clarify something here. It is not the “Democratic party;” it is the “Democrat party.” The difference is fully defined in the words: as “democratic” means “to work together for the betterment of our society”… this is something that is totally missing from the Washington elites and this administration. Democratic is a term for “pertaining to or of the nature of democracy. This administration is anything but democratic. They are the Democrat Party. Period.
It is so pathetically sad and hurtful to watch our country be torn apart by the current administration which does nothing but lie, twist tales and not keep our country safe. They are all in dereliction of their duties. And, sadly, they just do not care.
As a proud Republican, I know full well and understand that there are members of my party that need to be more forthright and defend our democracy. This is not all one-sided. Enough people on both sides of the aisle have been in power for far too long. TERM LIMITS. Yes, term limits are a must. Both parties need to listen better and work harder and smarter for their constituents.When “We the People” legally place our votes, we are voting for those who we believe should be willing to work for ‘We the People” and be fair and just. We do not vote for people so they can become rich with money and power for themselves, while “We the People” suffer.
The Democrat Party seems to have a lock on “getting rich and slandering “We the People.” There is not one single thing that this current administration has done that has been good for our country. Not one thing. Period.
They have caused a great lack of national security by allowing open borders; they want to become a socialist/marxist/fascist country and God help you if you disagree with their nonsense. An example of this is that they state as fact that the abortion issue is a “Constitutional Right” that has been taken away from women. Wrong. Abortion is not in the Constitution, nor has it ever been in the constitution. It has, however, been given back to the states to make the laws of each state where it belongs. There are many reasons why abortion should be allowed, however, the federal government should not be deciding the fate of a baby. Really… up to the time of the actual birth. This is just murder, pure and simple.
On Sept. 13, the Biden man decided to come out screaming like the angry old white man and fool that he is. He was trying to make us believe the country is not in recession and that prices are not high at the gas pumps, the grocery store, the drug store, etc etc etc. If only he had a brain… Because, “Dorothy, we are not in Kansas anymore.”
And, we are not a monarchy. No man here is king or above the law.
And all the while they are lying. They are proving to be the hypocrites they are on climate change. Flying in from one coast to another and then a $174K flight to Delaware to vote when he could have taken the helicopter, or better yet, why did they not vote while they were on another vacation!
People, this mid term election is of the utmost importance. Please, carefully consider what you truly want our great country to look like. We are now the laughing stock of the world. We have high inflation; high unemployment; high drug costs and we have no national security thanks to open borders. We have real terrorists crossing our open borders, we have given the drug cartels carte blanche for peddling their drugs and killing our American people, as well as foreigners.
There is no respect for our military and our law enforcement. Crime(s) go unpunished by liberal judges and prosecutors who have the audacity to hire security for themselves, but not give a damn about “We the People.”
Please, make your reasons for voting good reasons. Real reasons that will make things better… don’t vote against someone or a political party simply because you don’t like someone’s hair color or the color of their tie or pantsuit, vote because “We the People” matter.
