VoteWater.org offers input on candidates

By Staff | Aug 19, 2022

To the editor:

Voters this election cycle have a tremendous resource to identify candidates that are genuinely committed to cleaning up our waterways and reject “dirty money” from polluters.

VoteWater.org is a non-partisan organization that has taken the time and effort to conduct a deep dive in evaluating candidates on the west and east coast of Florida to identify clean water candidates.

Our staff and volunteers recently assembled a voters guide for voters in 15 counties, including Lee, that identified clean water candidates for this election cycle. The candidates were ranked on the basis of their response to our clean-water survey, whether they take “dirty money” from polluters, their voting record, public statements on water/environmental issues and extent to which they have prioritized clean water issues.

Just go to our web site at VoteWater.org to access the Voters Guide. Every voter can get involved in helping to ” get the water right.”
