To the editor:

It appears that a majority of voters expect the elections of 2022 and 2024 to bail out the country from the cataclysmic mess that Biden and the Democrats have created in their determined effort to promote their socialist green agenda. However, we have seen this scenario before when a Republican-run government didn’t seem to do all that was expected. Why was that and why should we be careful not to misplace our optimism that a new Congress in 2022 and subsequently a new administration in 2024 will quickly turn things around.

The key was and is what kind of Republicans are elected. Just putting in office a bunch of like Mitt Romney, Liz Cheney and Susan Collins among others is not going to do it. Look at how the turncoat Liz Cheney is already doing everything she can to undermine a future Trump presidency. Mitch McConnell has shown himself to be a weak leader at best.

When listing all the current disasters that Biden caused and is totally mismanaging, most people seem to leave the biggest far down on the list. China. It is obvious that we are going to have some kind of war (hot or cold) with China either in the short term if it seems likely that Trump will be the next President, or possibly in the longer term if, heaven help us, a weak administration follows the Biden cohort. Keep in mind that China bequeathed on the world the Covid-19 virus without being forced to pay for the millions of deaths and trillions of $ in damages they caused around the world. Rather they go on with business as usual while clearly building up their military at a rate required only for an aggressive war. If we don’t have a strong leader and administration at the helm in Washington, we will be in big trouble.
