Unqualified electorate

To the editor:

As a nation, we continue to mostly silently, to mostly stealthily deny that our population is nowhere near to being sufficiently equipped to properly select its leaders or its goals: We continue to simply ignore the clear fact.

Far, far too many of our citizens lack even the rudiments of an understanding of the economic, the political and the social issues of the day.

The proof of my claim is simple, obvious and irrefutable: That concrete proof is the mere existence of today’s ongoing version of the GOP.
