To the editor:

One hundred eighty-seven minutes spent watching the insurrection at the Capitol Building before calling for his supporters to leave the building. Just over three hours before calling for his supporters to stand down.

Clearly a failure of leadership on the part of the Commander-in-Chief.

During that time at least one life was lost and many others changed, and not for the better. The insurrection was led by the President’s supporters not ANTIFA, not BLM supporters and not by members of the FBI as some have suggested. This was clearly a coup attempt supported by Republicans closely associated with the President.

Lives lost, democracy at risk all over the former President’s “big lie.”
