Not impressed

To the editor:

It has been 6 months of Biden’s leadership and it’s now fair to judge his performance. His approval ratings are on the downswing. The honeymoon is over.

Inflation is spiraling. Last month it was 4.5% compared to last year’s monthly rise of .125%. That is 36 times greater. We can all attest to the rising costs in groceries, gas, homes, and just about every commodity. Even more scary is that Biden is proposing another $3.5 trillion be used for infrastructure, Democratic special interest groups and attracting votes. In careful examination by an independent body the cost will be closer to $5 trillion increasing the debt by another 25%. Even at the low interest on our debt, the cost is nearly 400 billion, nearly half the cost of Medicare.

Jobs are left wanting as the government removes incentives to get a job. Restaurants are roping off sections for lack of staff. Manufacturers are unable to find enough people to do the job and are doubling in many cases the manufacturing time and the costs.

Immigration is a total disaster as the borders are being overrun. Over 6,000 immigrants were encountered per day last month and a total exceeding 150,000 during July. Children are being crowded into facilities which lack room, food and people to care for them. They are being carelessly distributed throughout the country. Biden is trashing billions of dollars of materials for the wall that was under construction.

Legal applicants are having to wait years while millions are crossing the border without regard for terrorists’ connections, criminal history, COVID-19 infections and ability to support themselves. Smuggling is the fastest growing industry on the Mexico border complete with the crime of stealing and abusing their customers. Over 10 immigrants just lost their lives in a smuggling wreck.

Biden is pushing laws to control elections from Washington, change the Supreme Court after a couple centuries to give Democrats more power, allow special interests groups with billions of financial support dollars influence over the operation of government and transition the U.S. into a socialistic state.

Haven’t even mentioned foreign affairs where treaties started by Trump in the Middle East are in jeopardy, the Taliban is quickly capturing capitals, and China is rapidly growing to be No. 1 in the world for manufacturing, expansion and unbalanced trade deficits.

His bragging about the vaccines managed by Trump is looking tainted now that COVID-19 is on the rise again.

Amazing what happens when people vote based on what candidates say instead of on their history. Remember Biden was a nice old fellow that promised fair non-partisan governance. A new definition of non-partisan apparently!
