On the mask issue: Who is telling the truth?

By Staff | Aug 5, 2021

To the editor:

I am wondering who is telling the truth on wearing masks? We hear from our government to wear masks and we hear it in the news and we hear it from some medical experts and the CDC then we hear if you are vaccinated you don’t need one then you hear you need one.

I think this should be up to the person if they want to or don’t want to wear one, if you get sick be it a cold or the flu or this COVID thing stay home. I live in a country that says I have freedom of choice but then I get told you have no freedom you must obey and do as we say! There has been a lot of problems with the information we are getting to be or not to be vaccinated to wear or not to wear a mask, for this should be up to the citizen to do this. Then I hear you are selfish for you do not care about others’ safety, is that same person telling others that not wearing a mask selfish, too, when they get in their car and speed down the road and weave in and out of traffic or cut someone off because they wanted the last box of twinkies on the shelf at the local store?

So again, I ask who is telling the truth?
