Trump has persevered despite detractors

To the editor:

Paul Kiefner does an excellent job of explaining the ISO Certification Process. Then he attempts to apply it where it was not designed to be used. A major corporation is significantly different than the federal government. When I was employed at Ford Motor Company, if Henry Ford II were to walk into a department and state loudly, “You are all fired! Go home!” In five minutes the area would be empty. You may apply the ISO evaluation approach to him because he had the authority to control everything that happened in the Ford Motor Company. President Trump does not have that authority. And in the field of Management we have a basic rule, “You cannot hold a person accountable for a situation over which he does not have control.”

To accomplish many, if not most, of the actions he would like to see taken, the President must gain approval from two groups.

One is the Senate, composed of many persons who do not like him personally and/or do not agree with actions he wishes to take and/or do not like the fact that he has not followed the behavioral examples of his predecessors by wanting to get actions taken promptly and decisions made based on facts, not friendships or lobbyists’ agendas.

The other is the House of Representatives, composed of a majority of Democrats who seem unable to accept the fact that their presidential candidate was weighed and found wanting, and voters preferred an individual who was not a politician and shared some of their values and concerns about where our country was headed after eight years of “progressively”-oriented decisions. Given the fact that their expectations were not met, these Democrats decided that they would not only not gracefully accept the decision of the voters, but would attempt to stop or slow the President from accomplishing any of the actions on his agenda, and attempt to have him removed from office by holding investigation after investigation seeking evidence of some action for which they could charge him with committing a crime.

Interestingly, Mr. Kiefner did not mention the impact our mainstream media have on this entire situation. They, in concert, along with the Congressional critics, attack virtually every major decision made by President Trump as being “wrong,” however they define “wrong.” If the decision is later determined to be one that was correct and showed great insight to a situation, the critics in and out of the media will criticize the decision as being implemented either “too early” or “too late.”

Given the abuse with which President Trump has been treated, it is a tribute to the man that he is still up early and to bed late every day, taking actions consistently in the best interests of everyday citizens, given the information he is provided, using techniques and methodologies many of which many previous presidents never even considered.

I wish him well.
