To mask or not to mask, that is the question

By Staff | Jul 3, 2020

To the editor:

I go for a morning exercise walk and at least 97 percent of the people I see do not wear a mask. I wear a mask to protect you and wonder why you can’t extend the same courtesy.

Do people not wear a mask because they find it difficult to breathe? I have cancer and emphysema, but a little difficulty breathing sure beats potentially infecting someone with a deadly disease. Maybe they don’t wear a mask because they are too busy making America great again. They might think they are so beautiful and they don’t want anyone to miss their beauty. Or just maybe they think the strings on the mask will mess up their great pompadour haircut, like our president’s.

The next non-mask wearer might write in after their beloved grandmother becomes seriously ill after being exposed by a non-mask wearer.
