Those in need taking a hit while the connected flourish
To the editor:
Prior to 1980, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida was a large group of mangrove forest and waterways dotted with uninhabitable little islands. In 1980 the developers arrived.
Today Sunny Isles Beach is alive. Hotels and condominiums line 2 miles beachfront that includes three Trump-brand high-rises. This has attracted wealthy snowbirds and celebrities in previous years. It is now a magnet for rich Russian and Ukrainians, which includes the Trump associates and Rudy Giuliani associates recently arrested on campaign finance charges, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman. They are said to be investors.
In addition there has been a large development in the towns between Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale.
So, is our president just a businessman helping people in trouble get out of harms way? Or is he part of the corruption?
Back at home, it is another story. He’s cutting the SNAP program, Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security (saving money),and destroying our environment.
Perhaps he should treat us like he treats his friends.
