Candidates disgrace America
To the editor:
The campaign trail is so ugly, so immature, and so sickening that all sane Americans have been shamed and absolutely dishonored.
On the Democrat side we have a socialist, a man who stands firm against every precept that has served to make America the greatest nation on earth. The adoption of Bernie’s ideas would destroy America for ever!
And, Hillary, after 40 years in and around government, her only claim to fame is the fact that she stood by her man, when Bill disgraced the office of the President and the nation. She did nothing meaningful as a U.S. senator. As Secretary of State Mrs. Clinton turned her back on four desperate Americans in Benghazi, lied about her inaction, and even claimed that the victims families were untruthful.
At the present time, Mrs. Clinton is under investigation by the F.B.I. There is absolutely no doubt that she carelessly placed the nation’s security at risk by permitting classified and very sensitive information to run through her personal email server which was a sickening display of arrogance and stupidity. Anyone else, under these circumstances, would be already under indictment and, at the very least, she should be disqualified from running for the most important position on earth.
On the Republican side, watching grown men act like spoiled rotten children is a sad commentary on 21st Century politics. Each of the Republican candidates could make America better. However, the problem is the super- PACS. The PACs contain behind the scenes very wealthy individuals that give money to the candidates and expect, in return, power and influence over their choice individual.
And, there in lies the motivation against Donald Trump. Trump has self-funded his campaign. He has made it clear that with him the same old-same old middle finger for the people will no longer exist.
And, there will be no “behind the scenes” wackos pulling the president’s strings.
Trump talks about everything we know needs to be done. The wall. The help for our veterans. The Isis threat to America and our allies. The National Debt. The rebuilding of our armed forces. The un-funding of an organization that murders babies and then chops up the body parts. The bringing jobs back to America.
We may not like all of Mr. Trump’s presentations but, without question, he has identified what needs to be done and he has proven to be a man who knows how to win.
America’s health depends on voters understanding that there’s no “do-over” here.
Ignore the nuts that are fueling the misinformation and offering untruthful rhetoric in their desperate attempts to remain relevant. We need a change in Washington and that will only happen if we hire a different kind of commander in chief.
