Stupid politicos
To the editor:
The recent approval by the United States Senate of the Iran Nuclear Agreement constraining Iran’s nuclear program is good for the world. If the agreement is followed through this will validate President Barack Hussein Obama’s receipt of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009. The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to him for his “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between people.” The Norwegian Nobel Committee announced the award on Oct. 9, 2009, citing President Obama’s promotion of nuclear nonproliferation and a “new climate” in international relations fostered by Obama, especially in reaching out to the Muslim world.
The U.N. Security Council; China, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, and the United States serve as the body’s five permanent members with veto power. Only one of the United Nation’s 193 member states is opposed. You guessed it, Israel. As a Goldwater Republican, I feel free from the stupidity and undermining of our most precious Bill of Rights by the “brown nosing” of political correctness advocates. In a small way seeing Obama’s hair turning white during his time in office exemplifies the stress he must be going through in his constant combat with his political rivals.
The hate filled neocon press (there are six major corporations that own approximately 85 percent of the major media) keeps hammering the public for war against Syria, Russia and any country that would get in the way of “Eretz Israel.” The most atrocious statement from these war-mongering neocons came from a high U.S. Defense Department official who recently stated that we must act in Syria to throw out the government of Bashar Al Assad, the official properly-elected government of Syria. The Assad government is strongly supported by both of the two major ethnic groups of Syria, the Alawites and the Druse. They are the real Syrians.
Any and every responsible person knows that it was George W. Bush and AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) who promoted the outrageous lie of weapons of mass destruction which has cost our nation over $5 trillion in blood and treasure. The first casualty of modern warfare is always the truth. The truth being that several prominent patriotic American politicians have lost their re-election bids by putting American interests ahead of Israeli desires. It has also become a truism in American politics that “no one has ever lost an election for being too pro-Israel.” Remember Israel is the only country that has nuclear weapons and has failed to sign the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty.
When our Congress starts to put the American middle class first instead of kowtowing to Israel’s every request then we will be on the road to having a great country once again.
