Former District 2 candidate throws support behind LaGrasta

To the editor:

To the voters of Cape Coral:

The initial voting is over and I want to thank those of you who were kind enough and smart enough to give me your vote. Alas, I did not make the cutoff for the November runoff election and your choice for City Council District 2 is now between John Carioscia and Kirk LaGrasta.

I would like to urge those who supported me and voted for me to now support Kirk LaGrasta, as I intend to do.

I find him to be an energetic young man who seems to want to do the right thing for the residents of Cape Coral, and puts their interests ahead of his own or his business contacts. I have pledged to assist him in reviewing any City Contracts that come across his desk to ensure the residents are getting what is needed, what they paid for, what is legal, and in a timely manner. Kirk and I believe in the carrot-and-stick approach to contracting. Get a good company, make it profitable to do it on time or sooner, and make it hurt if they don’t.

So please join me and put your support behind Kirk LaGrasta for Cape Coral City Council, District 2.
