Hoodwinked?

To the editor:

Question: What evidence exists that a dangerously broad cross-section of the American electorate has been and continues to be – in broad daylight, yet – hoodwinked into supporting politicians, policies and programs which work diametrically against their own individual economic, political and social interests and those of their families and associates?

Answer: Can you spell “Koch Brothers?” Those very prosperous but non-scrupulous fellows spend money only in return for demonstrable value – and they are – as has been widely reported – spending tens of billions on their beloved project – Let’s call it “The Hoodwink America Political Influence Project.”

How on earth have we allowed ourselves to come to this pass?
