Political therapy for Hillary!
To the editor:
So far, it is Hillary Clinton that is benefiting from all the media attention that Donald Trump is receiving. Hillary is absent from this media circus because only negative items are alive and well on her media score sheet.
Nothing positive neither is on her immediate horizon nor has been for some time. Usually, a political vacuum like this is a death knell for a politician, but in Hillary’s case, this media coma is a welcomed respite.
Her recent lies and denies regarding her emails is getting a welcomed relief and this is all due to the more interesting candidacy of Donald Trump. His campaign has garnered the focus of political activity and such focus is the life blood of success in the political arena.
Hillary’s staff complains about “errors” in her emails and the NYT complies to help her smooth over the reports. Trump on the other hand enjoys no such consideration. Daily the media surrounds Trump with questions so phrased as to attempt to elicit a verbal formula that they can then mold and modulate for its maximum outrage potential. And Donald Trump continues to allow the press access.
Candidates seek opportunities for such interaction to get their message out. Whereas Hillary tries to “rope in” the press, she being terrified that another revelation from her questionable past, shall surface and be given a rebirth.
Whereas Hillary Clinton sought to be the “milk and cookie” candidate, it is obvious that Donald Trump is not.
The media is in a quandary. If they are too aggressive in their continued attacks on him, the voters may finally understand what the message is and that would point the way to the exit for Hillary.
Donald Trump has passed on both the milk and the “cookies,” he deserves champagne and creme Brule’.
