Cape needs to cut spending

To the editor:

Can the City of Cape Coral do anything without charging the taxpayers?

The city wants early elections so it is going to cost the taxpayers again; all this city can do is come up with way to get money from the taxpayers. Why do we have a Supervisor of Elections? Let them figure it out. Why is this a city problem?

Can you think what would happen if this city takes over the electric service? Every time they need money the rates will go up, just like the tax they added to our electric bills. And just look at your water bill – we have to have one of the highest rates in the state.

Hope this year people in this city wake up and come out and vote this group out office and give the city manager his walking papers.

We need people who are going to make major cuts if this city is going to survive.
