Faith, family, freedom
To the editor:
Three simple words and we have the answer to the puzzle -“Why is America in decline?”. We’ve turned our backs on “faith” and permitted all that the founders fought for to disappear from the face of America. Instead, pomposity, arrogance and down right stupidity have served to make us, this once the greatest nation on earth, a sputtering shell without direction, purpose, or respect from either within or around the world.
The founders put the Ten Commandments in place, to serve as a guideline for a civilized America to grow with and move forward, ignorants knew better and trashed it.
We took God out of our schools, making if offensive to even mention His name. We advocated mass murder, gave it the name “abortion,” and declared that in America the killing of millions of babies in the womb was right, and just, and civilized – just as long as we renamed our despicable behavior.
As for “family,” here again America has changed. No longer is the mother and father heading up a cohesive family where children are taught to listen, and respect, and do what they’re told or suffer consequences. Now, with the intrusion of psychology, and psychiatry, outsiders have taken control of the family unit and children are treated like adult equals. Once again stupid as stupid can be. Factually, there are only two ways anyone can know anything – formal education or practical experience. Children in their formative years have neither, therefore they know nothing and should be required to spend their time listening instead of talking. Family means eating together, playing together, worshiping together and growing in mutual love, respect and affection!
And for “freedom.” Our freedoms did not come to us without the grace of God! Thousands of men and women, full of pride, compassion, and the desire to keep America free -who were not afraid to die for democracy and were willing to raise the shield of faith so that America could thrive -these people fought for us and built a nation we could be proud of. And, now we continue to turn our backs on these heroes and we take for granted their sacrifice.
We never talk about how we left Americans to die in Bengahzi.
Or the veterans who can’t get treatment and are suffering and dying. Or the $18 trillion debt, as a result of idiotic mismanagement and how this behavior will impact on generations to come. What we need desperately is a return to sanity and to the values that served to make this nation great. We don’t need an orator who knows what to say and then does nothing. We need people who will go against the grain and work without applause.
People who will dare to raise the shield of faith in order to protect what is pure and the strength to stand up for the truth. The world is now laughing at us and our hypocrisy -and time is running out for America!.
