Another failure to support American workers
To the editor:
Once again the House Republicans refused to stand up for the American worker. Their bill, the Save American Worker Act of 2015, is only another disguised piece of their states rights legislation.
The effects of this will increase the number of uninsured and raise health care costs because ultimately they will need health care anyway. It will weaken the ACA, yes, but it will allow more expensive insurance to control the market. These insurers will ultimately increase the cost further.
In this day and time, and especially in Florida where many are having to work one or two part-time jobs to support the family, this is a shame.
Remember the goals of the Affordable Care Act are to approach a fully insured population (with choice of insurance to control the insurance costs, and increase the quality of care, offering a better product to the American worker.
