Councilman Burch deserves our applause
To the editor:
The suggestion by Councilman Burch to reduce speed limits to 25 mph in residential areas is exactly what good governing is all about!
Public safety, the protection of people and pets and the expression of concerns relating to the welfare of children all should rate the highest priority for our governing body. This issue should not be relegated to any political considerations and should certainly not be defeated.
Reducing the speed limit in residential areas means that lives will be saved, citizens will be safer, and Cape Coral will be better! Nothing should trump the immediate implementation of this extraordinary proposal and in the names of all that will be saved we say thank you Councilman Burch, thank’s for doing your job!
