A new beginning!
To the editor:
Well, the election’s over! Now what?…Pundits are chattering over whether President Obama will finally start dealing with the new Congress, maybe even invite Republicans over for lunch.
Hopefully, now that he’s been put in his place, will he stop issuing executive orders, pointing fingers, and finally work with Congress on bipartisan legislation? Sure he will… and I have a bridge in Brooklyn I’d like to sell you! I wish I could work up the childlike innocence to believe it’s possible for Obama to take the reins and finally show some meaningful leadership. But we’ve lived through this same debate for six years.
Whether it’s the IRS or the CDC or the secret service, it’s always the same story. Things fall apart due to lack of oversight, Obama won’t comment, then it’s leaked that privately, he’s really angry at those “other” people who were responsible.
This President will not take responsibility for anything! After six years in office, if he still doesn’t know basic basic management and continues to insist that pomposity and arrogance is the key to good governing, then next time we’d better elect someone with common sense and executive experience.
Whoever inherits this mess is gonna need it!
