To the editor:

I urge voters in Lee County to vote for Debbie Jordan, Democratic candidate for County Commissioner. A Lee County resident for 40 years, Debbie Jordan is a business owner who understands the importance of small businesses to our area, and recognizes the many local government obstacles businesses can face. She owned a restaurant business in the Cape for many years. With her business experience Debbie Jordan would be a good watchdog for taxpayers, too.

Debbie ran the Fort Myers River and Blues Festival for 20 years, proving that she knows how to get things done. Debbie Jordan believes in both responsible growth and is determined to protect our fragile environment. She is firmly opposed to “fracking” wells that could jeopardize our water supply. In addition to clean waters, Debbie is a firm supporter of local bus service, Lee County libraries and safe streets.

Debbie Jordan stands for area progress and for strong protection of our pristine environment that attracts so many new and seasonal residents, adding customers for our local businesses.
