‘On the Move’ well worth the expenditure

2 min read

To the editor:

I see by the TV Station Channel 4, that our Cape Coral Publication “On the Move” is under attack as an unnecessary governmental expenditure by forces which seemingly cannot view things beyond their nose.

The publication “On the Move” is one of the bright spots, done most professionally, by civil servant Connie Barron to the benefit of our city. This gal most certainly deserves a most profound pat on the back rather than a kick in the tail for all her effort.

It can be readily seen by anyone who takes the time to read it, that this publication informs and promote our city and its functions more so than any other vehicle in our possession. Cost a few bucks? What constructive effort do you know of that does not cost money? For the prestige that this effort affords our city this expense is peanuts. In fact, if you really want to give it any thought this vehicle could well be turned into an income producer with the addition of reasonably priced advertising for the many businesses which are dependent on our citizenry for their sustenance.

What say, Connie, how about turning this into “a money maker” to silence the critics? I’ll bet that would work. Whatever, “good luck.”
